UPCOMING EVENTS

October 11th: Last day of golf carts and rental clubs

Part of winterizing the golf course is blowing out the irrigation system. Once this is done, golf carts are no longer available. This is to protect the turf in its dormancy. Push carts are available for golfers on a first come first serve basis.

Our rental clubs are available on a seasonal basis. The availability of rental clubs ends on October 11th as well.

October 20th: Master Plan Open House

Join our team for a Public Engagement session regarding the golf clubhouse Master Plan. We would love to hear your thoughts and ideas to improve and update our facility for EVERYONE.

This will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 5–6:30 p.m. in the Dunaway Room at the Pitkin County Library

October TBD: Closing Day

The fall brings change to our seasons and activities. The golf course/operations close for the season at the end of October. Please enjoy the course in other ways like walking your dog, throw a football around, hang out with friends. We do ask that you please refrain from golfing to protect the turf.

Questions & Answers

Here are answers to questions we hear regularly.

- We stop allowing golf carts after we stop irrigating. For 2026, this will be October 12th. (last cart available October 11th).
- Beginning October 1st:
  - The last tee time with a golf cart will be 3:50 PM.
  - Golf carts must be returned by 6:00 PM.
Lockers MUST be emptied no later than October 11th.
If you wish to rent a locker over the winter, please contact the Ute Mountaineer in min-November. You still need to empty your locker in October.
The golf course is closed to golfing after October 31st. However, the course is open to the general public for walking and leisure activities.
Please respect the property, other community members, and staff requests.

We prioritize “Primary Residents” in the upper Roaring Fork Valley. To do this, we have a primary resident verification prior to the golf pass sale.
We typically begin the primary resident verification, to prove eligibility to purchase a golf pass, in January.
The Primary Resident sale is in February and any remaining passes go on sale in March.
- Fall green aeration begins 9/28. During this time, only 9-holes will be open for play.
- The irrigation system is blown out beginning 10/12. Golf carts will NOT be available the remainder of the season once this is performed.
